Autofinesse stuff is on point, but depending what wheels/finish just wash them with soap
-
If your struggling, try Auto Glym Custom Wheel cleaner. (not the normal wheel cleaner, thats too harsh imo). The Custom cleaner works well, but make sure you wash it off properly and put some wax protection on after drying. You wont need to use it again for ages after waxing either :happy2:
-
Iron X or similar, to get that brake dust out, then a good wax.

Autofinesse stuff is expensive, but depending what wheels/finish just wash them with soap
fixed that for you!

Bilberry Wheel Cleaner is really outstanding.... I use it on mine with brilliant results.
Be careful using Iron X on painted calipers as it can discolour them.
-
The best wheel cleaner I have ever used is the wonder wheels acid free stuff.
It's a purple liquid that bleeds red on your Wheels. Awesome stuff that really works. I also use it on my skirts.

That would probably be an element of iron-fallout removal as well.

I use Bilt Hamber - Auto Wheels if there is a real build up. It needs a bit of agitation sometimes if wheels have been left a long time or not really cleaned properly, but it is safe on finishes including polished alloys. It also cleans calipers without discolouring too.
But once cleaned, all I do then is spray with a mild APC, wash off and wipe over with wheel polish. Haven't found much difference between the different brands, but then I rarely leave them more than one wash between repolishing!

Billberrys wheel cleaner, awesome stuff.... Repels brake dust and makes it super easy to clean next time !
-
Sorry but there is no protection or dirt repellant in Bilberry.

Another vote for Auto Glym wheel cleaner :)

I use Sonax products for cleaning - Sonax alloy wheel cleaner, Sonax body shampoo, Sonax rubber lube.
I've also used AutoGlym - but unless you get the 5ltr trade cans, its v.expensive.
