Have you been getting the "Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database." error?

If so... we have just increased the number of maximum connections that the database can handle. Lets see how it gets on

On topic /

I've also been getting a few connection problems.  IE9 for me.  Its just this forum - when it refuses to connect to this, it still connects to any other website I may also be viewing.  :sad1:

Dunno why Edinburgh want a picture of Norwich City Hall - I know that building very well - Mrs Tamer used to work there.

Back on topic - I had about four or five website errors yesterday, with two differing error messages - one was the SMF database, the other I've forgot - I've slept since then!  :ashamed:

Aha, not an Edinburgh location then. Let me just correct them then. love correcting th internet. on topic, I haven't been able to access the forum on internet explorer for this whole week. Possibly a problem at my end (works IT) but I've cleared out all cache, cookies, history, reset etc.

Well the forum works fine while i am using Google chrome , i then go onto IE9 and use the forum for a short while , i then try to post something and the message "oops mk5golfgti seems to have stopped working" appears and i cannot get back in on IE9
I then go back to use the forum on Google Chrome and get the same message and can't get in either ??

If i wait about 20 minutes it starts to work again perfectly ok on Google Chrome .

If that helps to fix the problem , as you can see i can post perfectly ok with Google Chrome
