Title: Washer squirter

Right from what I can remember when I first bought my eddy the screen squirter worked on auto setting with the stalk up one notch. Now for some reason it only works when the stalker is at the lowest setting? Is this right or should it work by just pulling the stalk towards you in any setting any help on this or am I just going mad

Leave mine on auto and it works fine anytime? maybe a dodgy switch perhaps.
