My name is James from Devon and I have recently (well last 9 months) jumped into the seat of my all time favourite car....the Mk5 GTi. Just discovered the site and thought I'd join and say hello.

Enough about me and more about the car. After months and months of searching for the perfect GTi i found one in the depths of Weston Super Mare. Its a 2005 3 door in Blue Graphite Pearl with a huge options list. These are the Full Anthracite Leather interior with centre arm rest, multi function steering wheel, phone preparation kit and much more that i can't remember! :)

The bodywork is in fantastic condition as is the interior having only covered 68,000 miles with full VW history and one owner from new. The original bill of sale was £23,000!!! so think i got a bargain.

I think i may just do basic bits and bobs (how it always starts with me haha) Thing I've done so far are sort out the DV with a revision G and replaced the coil packs with the red top R8 ones as it had some misfiring issues and hadn't had the recall for coil packs so thought id fit these that a friend gave me. Pressed plates were sorted straight after i bought it too.

I work for National Windscreens in Torquay and as such have fitted a nice new genuine VW Blue tint screen as it still had the original and badly pitted.

Might need to invest in a milltek and induction of some sort at some point, but just enjoying the car as it is for now!

next on the cards is the PCV and fuel pump cm follower.

wouldn't mind an RNS 510 too, but heard that battery drain is a bit of an issue :scared:
