Whats the best option on H7 headlight lamps guys?
I don't want any tacky ultra blue looking beam just a nice white with maybe a suttle hint of blue.
Many thanks!

osram nightbreakers very good , white light

I can second that. Such an improvement on standard lamps.

I've got the philips xtreme, really happy with them also noticeably whiter... comes best in autoexpress (http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/accessories-tyres/76760/car-bulbs-2013-group-test-headlight-reviews). However night breakers probably offer better value for the small performance difference

1'm happy with Mtec 100w, but haven't tried the others mentioned.

MTEC nice color but dont shine very far,
Phillip shine far, but a bit yellow,
Nightbreakers perfect balance.
-
If you want purely best performance, then Philips X-treme visions are best. As mentioned above Auto Express found them the best when testing in a light tunnel.

Have you tried the 100W Mtecs Ross? they shine 20% further than 55W Mtecs...

Link me please. The one i have tried are the 55w>100w cosmic blue. not that great to be honest

apologies for hijacking but what sidelight bulbs would people recommend to go with the nightbreakers?
-
I'd go with some Philips blue vision 5w5. Any LED ones will make the Nightbreakers or whichever bulb fitted look really yellow

Anyone got the Nightbreaker fogs fitted?

Looking at both the headlight bulb and the sidelight linked abou e they glass is quite blue. Are they such when kit or do they give a white light anyone got some pics please .
-

I got both my Nightbreakers and my philips side lights from Euro car parts. Tell em your trade and get the discount. You may be able to find em cheaper on Ebay but for ease I just went to euro's as there's only a quid or two price difference and you get em there and then! Nghtbreakers where like £16 and sides about £4.

Yeahi saw that, bet they are very bright
Are nightbreakers just 55w?
-
Well yeah technically, anything more than 55W is illegal on UK roads.
But they are not as bright as xenons, and the blue coating keeps a lot in, only about 20% brighter than the MTEC 55w I had in before. I used to find overtaking cars would cast my headlight beam into shadow as they passed, that only happens with xenon cars now.
-
So one MTEC 100W has given up , after 1yr and 4 days.....4days out of warranty...how good is that :signLOL:
Going to try Phillips +130% on offer £19.99 ECP

You might find those Philips very yellow as they have a kelvin rating of 3700k. I opted for Philips WhiteVision which are 4300k look whiter at night (look a bit yellow-ish in daylight) and are a nice compromise good light output without looking to yellow

osram nightbreakers very good , white light

I've got these too. Not tried the others mentioned, but happy with mine and found a good deal on Amazon.

I had osram nightbreakers in my old car and were the best i had tried. I had philips blue vision which im rain were a bit dull because a bit blue.
Osrams lasted for 2 year and i sold the car with them still in so could of went on longer.
-
The MTEC 100W completely exploded, so I now have loads of bits of blue glass inside the headlight :fighting:
Noticed they have stopped selling the 100w H7 ones at the mo. :popcornsoda:
-
another vote here for nightbreakers. I had the MTEC's before but the light output wasnt really good. It was just a bit bluey thats all.
-
So :-
1)Phillips exteme vision plus 130% are the brightest bulbs iv'e tried so far, no point using fogs as well now, but not very white.
2)Mtec 55w or 100w whiter but not quite as bright or the spread or distance.
3)Ring xenon extreme somewhere in the middle.
probably try osram next.
