Ok so I have a tough decision to make.
I have a 3 door gti at the moment and have been considering changing it for something 5 door. It is mint and has had loads of work done to it and I love it, but..... I have a little girl who is 7 months and I am finding it hard getting her car seat in and out the back of my car. This wouldn't be too much of a problem but she is starting nursery in a couple of months and I'm on the nursery run! :driver:
I have been currently thinking about a leon cupra (07-10 shape) and wondered as a couple of people on here own them, owned one before or looked in to them would be kind enough to share there experiences or advice on the subject.
I am looking at about a £8000-£9000 budget depending what I get for mine.
So I am not sure if I should sell up or keep it and just struggle :happy2:

I know what your saying but I feel that I am not going to get a nice one for the money I have.
I have been looking though

I really like the Leon and there good value for money but the golf is much nicer inside,
-
I have both in the Household, 07 ED30 5dr dsg & 07 Leon FR 2.0T manual, with BTCC kit etc...
Have to be honest there is more space in the Leon, boot space is alittle larger also, great value for money.

I have had two cupras and they're mint value for money
I nearly got an ED30 but I do genuinely prefer the looks of the leon
Normal gti is boring, but ED30 does look a lot nicer.
For 9k you should get a nice 08 plate

He said he feels that hes not going to get a nice one for the money and hes been looking, not that he can't afford one there's a difference.

Saying he can't afford a decent one is exactly the same as saying there isn't a nice one in his budget.....

Hold that thought guys.... I think I might of found an edition 30 :driver:

Def get a ed30 mate IF ITS IN YR PRICE RANGE
-
You can get a decent ED30 for your price range - they do exist if you find the right one on the right day.
I managed to get this one http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,81537.0.html for under £9k, 56k miles. I wouldn't say it was mint, but drives well, straight and true. Needed brakes and will need tyres this year too. I know it's a three door, but I can't imagine much of a premium if any for a 5 door?
Maybe I'll be put back in my box about all of this very shortly. :ashamed:
