Title: Need help with mk6 mfsw for mk5
Post by: Paultc90 on April 18, 2014, 12:17:26 pm
I know there is a few topics on here regarding the fitment of a mk6 mfsw. Couldn't see anyone with the same problem as me though.

I've got a 05 golf gti DSG. It has a standard wheel on no mf or paddles. I was lucky enough to get a mk6 gti wheel with the car when I bought it.

I have a pioneer headunit fitted with my Audio instillation. It's a avic-f9220bt unit I think, so it's actually made for vws.

Is it possible to fit the wheel and get the paddles working along with the mf for that headunit? I also have the original mfd2 unit and and rns510, but would rather not fit these as I really like the pioneer unit. Think the rns510 was in but didn't work as well with the audio install, so the pioneer unit was fitted instead.

Asked around a few places in Glasgow and I've either been told they couldn't do it or they didn't seem interested.

Any input would be appreciated.
