Title: Dsg map to alter downshift trigger?
Post by: Simmo on May 13, 2014, 08:32:45 am
Is it possible to alter the dsg map so it downshifts when you take your foot off the accelerator?

Currently in Drive, it hangs onto the higher gear resulting in it changing down when you accelerate.

I know Michael had a map from Ptorque. all those settings are configurable. his would change down at like 2000rpm always keeping the revs up.

If it were mine I would leave D as is and make the changes to S to make it less aggressive and more usable.

Youll never get any map to make D mode behave exactly how you want.... thats what M mode is for.

Thanks all, good advice, il give Nicki a call.

Hedge didn't think of that - will go for that route, the default screaming 5k sport mode isn't great for normal driving and on a track manual is better IMO :-)
