Just bought my voucher, cheers pal :happy2:

ATS were easy - it did take one and half hours because it had completely run out, but the temp test when I went in was 30.7degC and 11.2degC after they had done it. They said if I used it for a few days it would get even cooler, and should go down to 4deg! Very pleased with their work and appears to be good value too :)

Gas was completely empty according to ats. However, after the regas the aircon still doesn't work. Guy reckoned it was either the power or compressor fault. Ran a scan and no errors came up, anyone got any ideas?
Cheers

VCDS or generic code reader scan?
-
Scanned using torque. Don't have vccds.
Just searched the forum (I know, should looked first) and found a couple of threads about compressors dieting prematurely. Not sure how long the aircon has been off as I haven't had the car very long and this Is the first bit of good weather to test it.

VCDS can tell you the status of the aircon, as in it will say exactly what is the cause for it failing to activate. You need to be in measuring blocks as it may not come up as a logged fault. Try get someone local to you to do this before looking at replacing bits.
My aircon stopped in my last car when I swapped the ECON switch type panel for an AC panel, I doubt this is your reason but it is not always the compressor.

Sounds exactly the same as what happened to me last month. Mine turned out to need a new compressor :sad1:
As above try the VCDS measuring blocks and look to see what the Compressor Shut Off code is. It could just be that the pressure switch is dead which is what tells the car whether or not it has enough gas (I changed this also).

A bit off topic but is there any air con top up etc available to come to your front door and do it outside
