Title: M TEC H7 55w bulbs.
Post by: Spankiee on June 05, 2014, 11:15:00 pm
I heard another member mention these and I have been looking for some bulbs to match my white LED sidelights.

For £11.50 they were definitely worth a shot.

Anyway they are excellent lovely white colour over the standard yellows.

I'd not use 100w bulbs... it's designed to be 55w for a reason.

well they sell them, stating "off road/show use only". They don't state these will blow your car up. Other members have been running these before me, I've had mine in 6months.
surely the fuse is there to protect wiring/circuits from overload? bet there is a good safety factor in there as well. Probably handle a lot more than 55W, that just happens to be the UK legal road limit.

I have had MTEC 55w before (cosmic Blue), they look great, but the light out put is very poor. less than OEM and only goof for summer. When winter comes back around you will need some Night Breakers in.

Any mtechs I ever had, had poor output, especially in the rain.

generally iv'e found that the bluer the bulb, the less light gets out onto the road.

these are more white than blue. i've had 6000k HID kit before and they were very blue.
