Title: EDITION 30 SEATS 3 DOOR FIT 5 DOOR?

Picked up a Mark5 GTI today and also picked up Edition 30 Seats, mine is a 5 door standard GTI but the seats came from a 3 door Edition 30. Seller assures me they will fit but, my mechanic got back to me this evening and doesn't think it will. Another opinion seems to think to think it will. Kinda confused. Has any one ever fit 3 door seats into a 5 door? was it a straight swap? or mods had to be done? Please help… Thanks

The metal brackets on the bottom of the seat bench need bending slightly but nothing you can't do without hands.
