Evening all
Previously when I've had a bulb out on my mk5 I've had a message on the midline saying for example " parking light out "
The bulb out indicator has light up on the dash but no message on the midline :rolleye:
Before any sarcastic comments emerge, I can of course turn all the lights etc on and walk round the car but that's not the point
Anyone else experienced this?

Number plate bulb going pop is a comman one with this, checked those?
Oh and do you have LED's anywhere, may well be one of those.

Perhaps an idea from your car? Trying to tell you something..?
-
It's the nsr brake light bulb but hasn't told me that ?

Does it come up when you start the car or when your driving? As a thought the bulb monitoring been turn off in VCDS? That could possibly cause it not to tell you what bulb it is but does notice when one is out during use?

Very strange thing happened mate, I swapped the faulty P21W brake light bulb with the reverse bulb as there the same and guess what, the message came up as soon as i turned the ignition " rear left reverse bulb not working! " maybe I have a loose connection somewhere along the line on the NSR brake bulb ? anyway luckily I had 6 spare LED canbus P21W bulbs in the shed so I've got extra bright fog and reverse bulbs now to match the rear bulbs/brake bulbs :innocent:
