Title: something else to keep me occupied (mk2 vr6) NOW WITH RR VID

bought this last month . was in need of some tlc but most of it is done now

i bought it with no front panel or lights , wheels , arch kit , interior etc etc

i have fitted a new g60 kit anlong with electric recaros .

and i just drove it today :) missed having a mk2 on the drive and this 1 is soo much fun .

It gets a big thumbs up from me,  :happy2: is that a original colour, dont think i have ever seen one on the roads in that colour.   :smiley:

Is that a mk3 dash in it?
apart from the colour its lookin good, along the same lines as what i want but Iam removing the rub strips all round and reverting back to small bumpers.

no real plan just use it whilst my mk1 is off the road for the  winter.

but im am thinking of rims and a charger

dont think it will go on track tbh . you can pick up a mk2 and do a vr swap for under 2k i would think

done a bit mare on this 1 today .


fitted a new sump as it had a hole in it due to it being so low , also did a oil change and filter swap . and the best bits was fitting the crackle black inlet and cam cover . going to crackle black the strut brace and a few other engine bay bits next week .

also sitting a touch lower on some new lenso bsx 16" rims . also put a 300mm momo team wheel (which looks great but horible to drive with )

Really liking this car.  I must admit, the vr6 unit is my favourite vag engine.   :happy2:

oh no not a 1.8t wouldnt be right. we have got to go down to tsr soon to have a chat as were either having the original engine bored out to a 1.9 or a 2.0 with cams and the limitter raised to 8k :innocent:

we have got a man in the shed head on ours at the moment. cracking thing. its done more miles than what the original one had done.. any pics of the mk1  :drool: me and my dad would love one but havent got the space :(

I had one of theese, loved every second, This is exactly what i want as a second car, gotta be mars red, track style  :happy2: thumbs up fella!

mk2 went on the rollers today .

1st run 200.4bhp
2nd run 193 bhp

happy with that :)
