Just wonder how much people have been paying to get the cluch and dual mass fly wheel replaces on a golf gti 07/08 plate

Depends on what you want. For an oem kit then I reckon £600 for the clutch and dmf then fitting on top.

Friend with a TDI paid £850 for a new clutch and dmf last week, can't see the GTI been any cheaper

As above, Circa £600 + labour.

850 for a TDi seems on the higher end, unless of course that was including the labour.

In regards to the tdi, both 1.9 and 2.0 kits are about £350 for Sachs kits inc DMF. I paid £120-160 to then get them fitted.

GTI kits won't be much more if you can find a friendly garage to fit it.
Though my ED30 once had it done by VW and they were well into four figures.

In the end I got prices from 850 up to vw price that was 1400 pound. Abit annoyed to that it's started slipping at 65000 miles I would of thought it should of lasted longer than that....
