Title: RCD 310 - works with MSFW/Highline Display?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if a RCD 310 DAB work OK with a MSFW and Highline Display on a MY07 GTI? I know I will need a newer Canbus gateway to prevent battery issues.

yes, although it will depend on which version you buy.

some don't allow the BAP setting to be switched

Thanks. What's the BAP setting? The unit I'm getting is from a 2009 MK6.

It works perfectly with the MFSW and the highline display, it's just a CAN Gateway coding issue.

Most likely you'll need to deactivate the BAP protocol for them to work. I needed to do that on my MY09 Golf, but fortunately my CAN Gateway is compatible so I didn't need to get a new one.

I've got a replacement gateway on its way from a 2010 vehicle and will get that coded before I install the RCD310.

Pleased to report the RCD310 worked without needing to do anything - presumably because it was from a 2009 car without a white display and no BAP
