I'm considering a car change, possibly a Nissan 350z
Anyone own one or any major problems?
-
the road tax :jumping: think its £500 if after 56plate or something....me next door neighbours' just got one
-
Very tail happy!
Always loved them but the interior looks like it's from the 90's
-
I had one before the my ed30, amazing car true it's tail happy but that just takes some getting use to. Sounds amazing, great gearbox and so comfy if your just cruising. Stereo is pretty rubbish though but it just means you get to listen to the V6. I had an 04 plate and the tax was a 260 for the year.

My neighbours got a 370, and that's only got 320bhp. Looks brilliant though, sounds good too, but I've got more power from my little 2 litre turbo. and almost as much torque.

The guy sitting at the next desk to me has one.. He loves it....just a little too much.

I had one for 2yrs before my ed30, as others have said it's a great car!! I had an 06 gt spec and it was a fun car. Mpg is terrible, rarely above 25 around town and on a cruise 30 was good. I also had a problem with the LSD but overall loved the car and still have some thoughts of getting one again. Interior is ok but a little cheap and the alloys are not the toughest. Tax is high... But with some small tweaks it does sound and go really really well

Would love a 370z Nismo. Evil looking thing!

Juice.... very juicy.
I had the 300 zx non turbo, super reliable and powerful cars even today.
Was gonna get the 350z soon after they came out but way too juicy so got a Navara at the time.
Had a mk3 VR6 and mk3 8v GTI too at the time... much more fun and much better on fuel lol

Yes I can see how you'd naturally go for one or the other...

A good friend has the Nismo 350Z in a MY06. It looks smart and sounds good under abuse, not a bad Sunday car at all.
He was telling me he can notch 40mpg cruising at 60mph on short-med dual carraigeway commutes, so if gingered along it can be relatively economical.
Driven hard though, that, of course, like any 6cylinder petrol car goes out the window.
He's had no issues, it's been fairly bullet proof for him. Spec is reasonable and the kit on the Nismo one seems to give it that little more 'special' look
I think his was under 10k and it's got hardly any miles on for it's age, under 50,000 IIRC.
Personally for me, I'd choose an e46 M3 with a kosher sub frame and boot well over the Zed, or even a bargain Z4M coupe for a bit more cash :happy2:

I'd agree with the z4m coupe option but quite a bit more cash

I wanted something new but also needed a works vehicle so was thinking of getting the 350Z and a van but the Navara hit 2 birds with 1 stone lol.
