Hi can anyone tell me if a seat leon k1 intercooler will do the same for the mk5 gti as the s3 intercooler.

If its a cupra R with a ko4 then yess the intercooler is 33% larger then owerr stock one if its not a ko4 based car then no

It's not a cupra r it's the new shape cupra but it is k04

If its ko4 you mean its the car around 230-240hp it has the same ic as the R but with other ECU software so i would say go for it

I was going to get the s3 intercooler but my mate was going to give me his off his k1 just didn't no if it would fit or work the same as the s3.

Cupra has the same cooler as a GTi so no point in changing.

The pre 09 S3 has the alloy end tank cooler which is the better 'stock' cooler to go for.  Annoyingly the retail price for them has gone up to around £380 and the level of discount has dropped.

Its the same as the S3 plastic or alloy it changes nothing same cooling efficiency just get the cupra ic from your friend (make sure his car is ko4)..PS:do you have a ko4 GTi?

It's a k03 but need fuel pump and intercooler for stage 2+

The cupra ic will do the job go for it ...planing on bigger turbo in future ?? If yes i would say buy a CTS core or any big FMIC but for ko4 and ko3 the S3,R,Cupra will do the job if you dont live in a hot climate that will peek your IAT ..how is weather in your country?
