Title: Ed30 knocking sound diagnosis
Post by: ED300888 on September 07, 2014, 12:32:40 pm
I have an annoying knock which seems to be coming from the front end. I have changed the drop links, had the subframe spacer brackets put in, engine front arm front and rear bushes, had all the obvious joints checked and running out of ideas and patience! It does it when pulling off my front when I am on lock and also when coming off acceleration and engine weight transfers and sometimes going over bumps. I am thinking either an engine mount? Done lower so 2 left, rear drop links or arb bushes?

HELP!!! TIA...

Mine is also making a knocking noise on the front passenger side, found out today its the engine mount that needs replacing to much play & engine movement causing the knocking noise. But that's just mine worth a check though. :happy2:

Possibly unrelated but a friend of mine had a knocking noise from his 06 Corsa when coming off the gas and going over speed bumps.

He had the passenger side track rod-end replaced and the drivers' side ARB bush. Knocks now gone  :happy2:
