Will be R- Tech by a long shot, then Revo I reckon. I'll fly the AmD flag in the corner... :happy2:

Joe power, TDR performance, won't mean much to a lot of you.

He's the best tuner here in Ireland, spent 9 hours up with him on Wednesday, guys a genius. He was mapping my new CDLA engine and the results are just magic  :driver: He works very closely with Niki Gower @ R-tech

Any Irish members considering a map, Joe's your man  :happy2:

318hp and 300lbft

Bear in mind we only get sh*t 95 ron fuel, no such thing as V-power here  :sad1:

He says i'd make an extra 30hp and probably 50lbft if on better fuel

Think they bounce of each other and share info, they were chatting the whole time i was up there  :happy2:

As Joe told me the tuning world is pretty small, nice to see small independents can work together and produce such top notch product

Octane Booster?  Never used it but some peeps (where you are and other areas where 99RON isn't available) swear by it.

I may very well go down that route Martin, with those kind of gains possible would seem silly not to take advantage

Need to speak to Alex about supply, he mentioned it to me a while ago also

I'm happy with my AmD map for my stage 1+ tune. Main reason I chose them is if I had any problems it was only a 10 minute drive back to them to fix it, plus I got a fully custom map for £200.

I will probably go stage 2+ with AmD too for the rsame reasons. Although I'd like to take my car to R-Tech to RR it there to varify power.

My money is on Revo being the most common. They are much more readily available maps, and advertised heavily all over the place.

People off the forum get Revo'd all the time, they just don't usually rave about it like the R-Tech tuned guys do  :signLOL:

I had considered Revo for stage 2, but as I said I'd prefer a local garage that I can pop into if I get issues. AmD may not be top dogs but certainly did well with my map.

Revo for me,I had it on my previous car and I was happy with the performance/support so it made sense, still not got around the wheel hop situation though but I guess thats the joys of FWD.

Maybe we should say what cars we're on about, as I know most of use have a GTI (being a GTI forum and all...) but some people have diesels or non GTI models so would be good to gauge % gains over stock cars, see which cars get the most gains from their engines..?
