Title: Sparkplug Tool
Post by: rdfcpete on November 08, 2009, 06:07:59 pm
Guys,

Is there a tool or a utility of any type that I could do with to aid removing the spark plugs?
Perhaps there's one that Volkswagen do themselves, or is it not necessary for changing them?

The Haynes manual advises to use a section of hose pipe but I don't have any spare.

Is there an FAQ or step by step guide to this... Pointers appreciated.

Thanks,
Pete.

if you purchase a proper spark plug socket-it will have a bit of rubber inside the socket to aid the spark plug out

So it's a universal thing? That's cool as I have one from my previous vehicle.

Thanks chaps  :happy2:
