another victim to the new wheel craze,
nothing new unfortunately but proven well on tony d's gti and jonny c's s3, wasn't sure how they would look on a silver gti but pleased with the results

Speedline turini's - 18x8 5x112 et42 - silver - clear my stoptechs with ease without the need of a spacer which is what i was after, light but strong wheel too and look pretty purposeful.
try and get some daylight pics up tomo :happy2:
-
Looks great James, get those Rusty Bells seen too though :happy2:
-
I LOVE these wheels!
-
look great on reflex silver
:congrats:
matsu
-
looks nice mate
-

Just kidding. They're stunning fella  I still want a set but they're stupid money. How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?
-
stunning :happy2:
-
look great, thinking of a change myself, mmmm like those
-
The wheel of champions...
-
Thanks for the kind words, really pleased with them myself :happy2:
Alot lighter than pescara's noticed that as soon as I left the garage they also do not rub as much as before with the 10mm spacers and oem wheel.
quite resonably priced too not as much as Oz Allegerita but more than Team Dynamic Pro Race 1.2's coming in c £900 delivered with new bolts.
-
Me likey :happy2:
-
They're just epic - classic design, super light, super strong.
If I hadn't found the OZs, I'd have bought another set for my track wheels. Shame they're near impossible to find second hand :sad1:
-
The best option i have seen yet that gives a great track and road wheel with room for big brakes.
Its a great all rounder no doubts. :notworthy: :happy2:
-
I'm thinkin anthracite might look good on mine as a light weight option, how light does anyone know for the 8x18's?
-
Look nice! Don't lighter wheels make a difference, i couldn't believe it!

8.5kg ish - iirc.
-
They look really good mate, defo on the daylight pics. look forward to seeing them. :happy2:
-
Yeah my Team Dynamics are 9.0kgs, that 4kgs per corner saving ;)
-
WOW! They look awesome, come to think of it....I want a new set of wheels
-
had a good run out in them today on the way to get the exhaust fixed and then back, got to say I love them the steering feels alot lighter and sharper and the slight wobble i got with the 10mm spacers has gone -
will take some pics of the spacers I have had removed, on all 4 of them the hubcentric ring has snapped off...
i used to get a wobble when breaking i thought i had warped the new brake discs but since the change of wheel no more wobble :happy2: dont use spacers!!!
no daytime pics yet as weather was terrible hopefully tomo
-
What make were the spacers. :chicken:
-
the spacers were from Wheelman the chap on the forum, 10mm hubcentric variety were a good price but maybe not so strong and I do thrash it about alot so wouldn't of helped things..
my own fault for buying breaks which needed a spacer, was warned about them but gambled on the brakes fitting and they didn't at first. would have been cheaper to pay more for say the VWR kit which fits OEM et51 wheels, anyhow just a thought
but well pleased with new wheels!! :happy2:
-
look great, thinking of a change myself, mmmm like those
if yours are up for grabs mate , come to me !!!!!!! :happy2:
-
i think these will be the new bbs CH's, hopefully i'll get a set of these in anthracite sometime in the new year. They look really good :) :happy2: :happy2:
-
Yeah my Team Dynamics are 9.0kgs, that 4kgs per corner saving ;)
MonzaII are 12.1kg per wheel, so 3kg weight saving, to be exact
-
some daylight pics for you - cars a bit filthy but you can get the idea..

Those wheels in silver really suit your silver car extremely well - They don't look aftermarket.
Lighter weight wheels are a revelation aren't they!

Lighter weight wheels are a revelation aren't they!
Are they?
What exactly do you notice with your OZ Alleggeritas?
I do not notice much improvement, braking is probably somewhat better, true, but then again I do not do track.

....I won't hijack James' thread - My thoughts about the Alleggerita's are in my review thread here : -

Noticeable when driving enthusiastically on the road, not just track. Lighter weight wheels contribute to, and are a part of, the whole suspension package. Would I notice them on standard suspension? - I don't know.
HTH
-
they look great
-
You are really not helping me by posting pics like that mate
-
I'm sorry, I'm imposing a ban on anyone else buying these wheels.....
-
^^ haha. You've only encouraged people with yours looking so good fella
-
old school wheels are defo the best , oz , speedline and bbs are by far the best for quality and style , if them speedlines come in 19" they would be on mine :happy2:
-

10.5kg in actual fact. Thought they were gonna be nice lightweight rims after reading the above. :sad1:
