Title: mk5 gti not starting, engine ecu not responding with bosch computer.

Good Day Everyone,

I am new to the site.
I live in Windhoek, Namibia.
I have a MK5 GTI.
The vehicle does not start.
The gear display flashes on the instrument cluster.
The engine ECU does not communicate with our Bosch computer.
We have replaced the Mechatronics Box in the Gearbox.
I get a fault code in the Transmission (P1850 CAN data message missing from engine CU)
Any help will be highly appreciated.

mechatronics not talking to the ECU ? was it a new unit you put in ? or known to be working 2nd hand one ?
