Title: One-off DSG clunk+ stationary noise
Post by: WolfsburgEd on November 10, 2014, 11:49:50 pm
New car to me - I'm not sure what to expect with characteristics so looking for some pointers.

Having a spirited drive about on Sunday afternoon after collecting the car on Saturday. A mix of fully auto and paddles and then a big clunk - totally caught me by surprise to the extent that I could not rememer later what mode I was in or if it was trying to change or if I was just decellerating.

It was sort of like a thump of a heavy gearchange - does this ever happen?

Also, when stationary in D but with foot on brake I notice a noice a bit like a pipe is pulsing against the body which then stops when moving into N.

Box has just had fluid change as part of dealer BIG service before collection.

Anything I should be looking out for - any weak points on these boxes?
