right i have these on my car and im in need of new pads i have contacted vwr 6 times now and they say they will ring me back , and never do . im getting fed up with being fobbed off now . can anyone suggest anywhere else to get some ?
-
Are the vwr brakes something else rebadged?
I was under the impression they were project mu, so that may be a place to start to ge the specs/ pad info.
-
think they are wp pros but they are based in china . i know you can import them but a uk dealer would be good
-
Give DaveB a message, he may know the caliper model, and where to get pads.
:happy2:
-
Ps good Somerset there!
Where he be too then!
-
Chris Witter - Nice Bloke
at Witter Racing Services 0203 286 3127 dont think he carrys much stock though so may need to wait for a while (slow boat from china and all that) may be able to sort you the same day
Dont think the VWR/Witter tie up was as busy as it was planned to be and its common internet knowledge that VWR are looking at different suppliers he was already aware of that last time I spoke to him. Hes going to be a distributor for Ohlins in the new years
Cheers
-
Hey, how comes you've got the BBK from VWR...?
I've been chasing Matt for these like everyday. Last time I spoke he said I could expect them in early Dec?
-
Ohlins
:notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
-
Yep me thinks he's going to be busy with that!
-
bump , these are wp pro . not project mu
-
Gill - have you got a spare backing plate? Or can someone lend you one?
If you send them to Carbotech or BG developments, they'll copy it and put on any Carbotech or Pagid compound (respectively) you want.
They can turn them around inside a week usually, might be faster than chasing your tail?
-
great idea the car does not get used during the week so thats a great idea
-
y not just call Mat at vwr and ask what they have in stock

he's been trying that route for over 6 months! Hence he's now looking for alternative options.
-

-
You got a pic of the pad? - it'll be an AP design more than likely......
Stuff from the US could be here in three days http://www.wpprobrakes.com (http://www.wpprobrakes.com)

These look nice Dave!
-

Shuddup you - you had your chance to have some nice brakes before you sold your soul to the hi-spec brake devil :signLOL:
Seriously though yours bedding in alright???
-
Ha ha... brakes seems ok...better than the factory VW brakes. Would be nice to test MATT ED30's brakes as a comparison...
P.S. I owe you a big thank you for helping me along the way.... :drinking:
-
wp pro are sending some to me . alot easier !
-

VWR is WP PRO ?
what a dissapointment, i thought it was something more serious.

-
Project MU are suppoused to be good (i have never driven a can with them)

-

I know that VWR colaborates with Caparo Braking for their brakes. At least that's what i have been told
-
VWR it seems first used WP Pro as a braking solution supplier. They are Asian based and very well known over there.
They then changed suppliers to Project Mu...which are Jap I think?
For 2010 they have collaborated with Caparo AP for their latest 6 pot kit. It looks very nice!
-
thank you for the info chungster :happy2:
