Hi all,
Firstly, I hope this thread is in the right place/format and doesn't break any admin/mod rules!
I currently own a Mk 5 GTI, however I'm changing cars this week. As such, I need to get rid of the GTI but would like some expert views on how much the car could sell for.
The details of the car are as follows:
5 door
Metallic black
Manual
Full leather
2008/08
The car has just turned over 26k miles
1 owner from new
Not a single door ding, just the usual few stone chips to the front end, though only very few due to the incredibly low mileage.
FSH - VW main dealer for early years, VW specialist for the last couple.
Just had a major service including belt.
4 brand new Continental Sport Contact 5 tyres fitted in summer.
All 4 wheels recently been professionally refurbished so are in perfect condition.
The car is pictured below:

Again, I must stress this thread is not designed to sell the car but just to get some opinions on value, so I hope it doesn't break any rules.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I don't think it has any of the above packs. The head unit is the standard single CD radio so no sat-nav.
The purchase order states:
GTI mk5 manual leather
18" Monza 2
Black metallic
The leather includes heated front seats as well but other than that it's base spec.
I've had an offer of 10k from a dealer however I thought I might be pushing 11k given its condition and recent outlays. However that could just be me and my love of the car talking!

I was thinking around 9K tbh so that's a pretty decent offer, you can buy a 50k ED30 for that money.

10k id snap his hand off for that personally mate
-
Agreed £10k is a strong offer, particularly at this time of year as sales tend to slow down over the Xmas period.
Nice car, as a private buyer I wouldn't pay as much as the dealer!

Its too easy to get attached, at the end of the day its £10,000. I would take it :happy2:

Thanks very much for all the replies, I guess I'll be taking that offer then!
