Evening folks,
just seen this on hotukdeals. Seems like a mis price on the halfords website. 4L Castrol Edge 5w30 for £19.99!! Checked the halfords website and seems correct!
Took me a while to find it as the oil finder using the reg number isnt the best. In the oil section, filter the results by ticking the 5w30 box - the Castrol 4L bottle should be on the first page.
Use the click and collect option, otherwise you have to pay for it to be delivered.
Hope this helps
Rich

This is correct a mate just showed me this, however, 5W40 is the good stuff! even if your engine is not remapped as the thickness and durability of the oil lasts longer and provides greater lubrication. So the price well reflects the oil but grab yourself a bargain and get 25% off this price if you have a friend who works here ;)

Cheers for that.

Nothing on there now

I reserved 4 last night. Lets see if they honour it!

This was a mistake on their system. They politely told me that I couldn't have it at the price.

Did they inform you via.email or in store? @Tortaruga (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=5545)

In store.

In store.
My email and text stated collection for Tuesday, never reserved with halfords but if it's like argos and they send an email to confirm its ready to collect I will not be happy if they turn me away in store.

Read the small print at the bottom of the email. No contract is formed so they're under no obligation.

Fair do. Dont disagree there wouldnt be a get out clause, however you would think they would email to notify customers if they find a problem with the price, before a customer goes into store.
Might still give it a go if I dont hear anything, halfords is only 2 minutes from work.
Also I was referring to if they sent an email to confirm the order is ready then to be refused at store, that would be taking the pi$$ a little!

That's why they only send a mail stating that "your reservation has been received".
