Title: Oil filler cap mayo ?
Post by: Spankiee on January 15, 2015, 10:51:51 am
Jusssst wondering does anyone else get a bit of moisture/ Mayonaise on the inside of there oil filler cap? It wasn't there in summer. Could it be a winter thing?
It's 08 edition 30 and covered 47k.

Would my ITG intake have any influence on this?

Thanks

It's just a bit of moisture from doing short journeys and the engine not getting up to temp properly, I just wipe it away every now and then to stop the build up. It's just a winter thing so nothing to serious

I agree with Percy nothing to worry about ,once it gets to full mayo and cottage cheese in the expansion tank start worrying !!
