Hey guys got my twintake fitted yesterday so ile try get pics up later for you! And the car is running fine and dandy now! Bl**dy DV was buggerd! Happy days!
-
....
Hi Mitch,
Did JKM fit your Twintake? They are doing mine on Thursday and we are also doing some dyno plots before and after. Did you do a dyno at JKM with the Twintake? - If so, it would be interesting for everyone to see comparisons when my review is posted.
Glad that JKM got you running fine 'n dandy :happy2:
-
Hey robin! Yeah jkm did all the work For me very pleased they do a great job, i didnt do any rolling road runs tho was in abit of a hurry to get back i cant realy say if its done alot tho as my car was buggerd befor it went on and left there fixed with the intake would be good to see what it does for you! You will love it mate the noise it makes is better than sex lol.....

^^^^
Your GTI is a similar performance spec to mine: K03, Milltek TBE, Stage2 (Revo), and Twintake (this week). So next time we are both at the same rolling-road meet we should plot very similarly - At least that's the theory!
JKM have rightly become renowned for their knowledge and expertise with the 2.0T FSI platform.
Looking forward to your pics of the twin-headed carbon beastie!
You can change your forum sig now :happy2:
-
there ya go is that better?! I realy wanna get mine on the rollers now see how shes going!
-
here you go lads and ladies not very good pics as was lacking light will get some good ones at weekend

Can you describe how it sounds Mitch. :happy2:

....
Nice pair, Mitch!
How come you are using an EVOMS heatshield? Forge included one of their's in the box and it extends much more.

I was just going to ask the same.
-
haha i thought that said evolution. those canisters look bigger than i thought they would be as well .
Is it a foam filter within or is it dry cotton???
As RR said. Id be interested to see how yours and RRs compare as you will be running identical cars albeit different stage 2 maps. RR has the bonus of being able to adjust with his SPS though. . unless bluefin send a new map, it will have to adapt. Privelage of REVO i guess.
looking forward to hgearing one now.
-
Top cat, it sounds like a giant hoover under the bonnet........ Lol i cant realy describe it that well! U just have to hear it for yourself!
Robin, dom, the reason for the evoms heat sheild is he took the forge one out the box and it was rubbish.... Holes in wrong place awquad to fit ect he had to take pics to send back there way! So just wacked that one on there... doesnt bother me atall as there isnt that much differance when you put them next to each other anyway..., we do need to compair tho robin it shal be interesting!?

....Hi Mitch, I've just spoken to both JKM and Forge as I don't want the same problem when I drive 2 hrs to go and get it fitted.
Your particular Twintake kit from JKM is one of the very first supplied by Forge and the heatshield included is the wrong shape for your car build. It's being looked into by Forge. The heatshield I have certainly isn't "rubbish" in that it's very substantial and also extensive - Mine is different from the one on Forge's web site though. We won't know if my supplied one fits or not until tomorrow morning. Obviously Forge need to address such problems and I'm assured they will.
I don't want to hi-jack your Members Ride thread with pics of heatshields or filters etc (I'm sure that pics of scantily clad VAG Babes are more acceptable though!).

Nice cars
