Title: Aircon Service at ATS
Post by: richtung on June 16, 2015, 11:49:18 am
Just seen the Groupon voucher for an aircon service at ATS (Full clean and re-gas) for £32 (Usual price £55).

VW dealers are charging £79.

Just wondering if anyone else on here has ever used ATS for the aircon service?

Thanks

Rich

VW are doing aircon service for £49 at the moment, or part of a combo with a brake fluid change for £79  :happy2:

So I have just got back from ATS and to be honest my air con is now ice cold and there is no smell. I can't fault them to be honest and I would recommend them to anybody!

VW can always be beaten down on price. The Golf is going in to my local VW dealership for a full service on Saturday at the costly price of £199 :)

Cool. Did you wait whilst it was done? If so, how long did it take from start to finish?

There's nothing to it, all they do is hook it up to a machine, punch in a few settings and leave the machine to it. It takes a good half hour or so for the machine to clean out the system, pressure test it and refill it. With the Leon there was a choice of 3 different A/C pump manufacturers used and we had to select the right one on the machine (Had to find a small mirror to look on the A/C pump to find the manufacturer, as 'they don't usually check that and just go with the first option'!)

I had mine done in Kwikfit a couple of weeks back, along with a full hunter wheel alignment, for the grand old sum of £20 in my mates pocket  :signLOL:
