My Edition 30 currently has oem dampers and H&R springs. I feel that the car needs new dampers, anyone recommend me some decent dampers that will work with the H&R springs?
-
I'm in exactly the same position - my car has VWR springs and original dampers, which are giving the signs of being knackered...
I think I will be going for something Bilstein, as I had those on my mkiv and they were great. Build quality was so superior to the Koni FSD's I had before. B12 kit is what I'm thinking of, but don't want a low car. That was the reason I went for the VWR springs - they were the mildest drop available...

What are the Bilstein's like for comfort?

Mk6 version Bilstein B8 dampers give a lovely ride, valved approx 18% softer than the mk5 version :happy2:

Also in a similar position, currently on oem dampers with H&R springs, the look is just as I want it, I don't want to go any lower. Ride is fine, would be open to some refinement, certainly no harsher, the other half already complains :stupid:

I was going down the mk6 golf b8 kit route. The problem I have with the current h&r with OEM dampers is the sometimes unbearable bouncy ride. It can make the car feel really unbalance especially high speed corners on bumpy roads.
Going pss10 now

Where's the best place to buy the mk6 Bilstein dampers from?
