Dsg issue no up change.
« on: February 10, 2016, 05:45:28 pm »
Having issues with my dsg, when it's in D its not changing up properly.
Through 1-3 it changes up fine but after that it stays in the same gear, so if I'm going 30 mph it stays in 3rd, in 40 it's in 3rd sometimes 4. 50 up over it'll stay in 5th

If I shift up when it goes back to auto it drops down gear again so I'm driving in manual all the time.

Oil and filter was done a few month ago, no fault codes and tried a dsg reset to no avail.

Not sure if this could be related but very occasionally my tc light, abs and yellow steering wheel light come on, which I believe could be abs speed sensor i think that usually means. This goes off tho once the cars restarted, no fault codes are logged either.

I'm at my wits end with it now it's doing my box in.

Has anyone heard of this before or any idea what to try next?

Many thanks.

Peskyjones had an almost identical problem. See here:

Almost certainly the ABS and other lights are related to the DSG issue. The information for the DSG to change is picked up from various sensors, including the ABS system. If a reading is out, it will confuse the DSG.

Cheers mate, had a suspicion that had something to do with it.
