Rattle behind the dash

As above ever since I've fitted my itg and went revo I'm getting a rattling behind the dash. Anyone had this before ?

Sound like the dash is rattling , however will try that mate !

I know Exactly what it is matey 

I have manage to locate 3 rattles on separate occasions.

Open the drivers door and open the panel on the side of the dash. (near door hinge)

1. Next to the fuse board check all the nuts and torx screws as they tend to work loose.

2. Do the same on the passenger side panel as there were loose torx screws in there too.

3. Last of all, and this was the hardest to locate as I would never have thought it was the cause. The sunblind hinges. They have a screw into the roof that works loose.


Since doing these my car is now Totally rattle free.

....well inside anyway.

I am looking for rattles and found the passenger side torx screws loose, but i do still have some rattles.
Sunblind hinges? where is that. Are you talking about the sunvisor

Interesting thread - I've got a rattle, really high frequency that almost sounds like a bumblebee, coming from the fuse box area or somewhere under the steering column.

I'll have a look at the bolts.

Also something in the back rattles. I think it's the rear bench, like leather on leather. Can't suss it to save my life though!

Oh and the worst one... The driver's seatbelt adjuster, on the b-pillar. It constantly rattles, and it's right in my ear. Tried moving it to different heights, no joy.

Sometimes wonder if my old mk4 was better built!

Ahh the B pillar rattle its a pain both mine do it. unsure on how to fix. Anyone with suggestions

I have a small rattle in the B pillar too and I drive on the left side. I've moved the seatbelt adjuster but it keeps buzzing. I ignore it when driving at higher speeds and with the sound of the radio.

Yeah it's a godsend this time of year, it's finally warm enough to crack the window open and lose the rattles in the turbulence!
