Hi guys, I've got some questions that I could really do with some advice on.
Had a 2008 MK5 GT TDI 170 DPF for 3 years now, it's been stage 1 remapped (210 BHP) since I bought it and never missed a beat. Also my daily drive is at least 50 miles so never had any issues with DPF either, it's done a few regenerations but never any problems.
I'm looking to get the Miltek non-resonated exhaust fitted however I've seen on Miltek there is an additional downpipe available for my car. My understanding was that there was no downpipe, it just connected straight to the DPF. Anyone had any experience on this or fitted one?
Second question is I would like to remove the DPF entirely and go for a stage 2 remap, I know there is the issue with the sensors that would need to be removed and deleted from the ECU, however I've heard rumour of a DPF replacment pipe that has no internals but comes with the sensor so no need to delete from the ECU. Again anyone had some experience of this?
I've searched through the forum and not found anything that relates directly to this. Any advice or a nudge in the right direction would be great, thanks in advance.
