Slight inner tyre wear front
« on: August 01, 2016, 08:17:15 pm »
I had my mot the other day.... passed by the way  :happy2:

But the advisory said that the 2 front tyres had inner wear. I'm running 15mm spacers all round, could it be to do with this? And would an alignment sort it as my mate said you can't do much when spacers and fitted?...

I'm getting 2 new fronts fitted in a few days and wanted to nip the problem in the bud before the same happens to the £££ tyres awaiting.

I would suggest getting the car 4 wheel laser alignment and go from there. Sounds like the camber is off a little at the front.

As above.
I'd say Defo needs wheels aligned
I had same problem where the inner tyres went down to the metal

Got a 4 wheel alignment done 2 weeks ago and the car does not screech into the corners now or on roundabouts

Look on groupon for deals ,as I got a 4 wheel alignment done for £18

I've just bought that groupon as well! Had planned to get it done at ATS for £64! half hour away so its much cheaper!

So you can adjust the camber at the front and rear? As I read somewhere that unless you have the adjustable s3 arms you can't??

4 wheel alignment should sort it.
