Diverter Valve
« on: August 21, 2016, 07:58:57 pm »
Hi would like to know what DV I will need for my standard 07 55k GTi , get a bit confused with all the Rev D Rev G stuff. did the cam follower couple of weeks back and going by the look of it was original so guessing my DV is also. Will also be looking at a R Tech stage 1 soon.
where would be the best place to purchase a new one? Many Thanks

Rev "G" will do you fine. Dealers are actually reasonable for the DV from what i've seen  :happy2:

If you're going to stick with original one get Rtech to fit one when you're there.
From memory it was £35 extra.

If you're going R-Tech Stage 1, then the OEM Rev G will suit you fine (I did the same thing). I fitted it myself, but you could get R-Tech to do it, as they check it pre-map anyway, so it makes sense to do it then (plus I think they get it a little cheaper and don't charge extra for fitting, so that's a bonus).

If you wanted to do it yourself, then TPS or VW will supply it for around the £40 mark.

Let us know how you get on with the map.

PS - I tried the Rev D first and it wasn't that great. After a week or so, I moved to the Rev G and the car has been fine since (nearly a year on).

Either way, good luck.
