Fuel pump help
« on: December 06, 2016, 09:26:28 am »
Hi All,

Had my car in for a new chain and new value. Also had new gaskets etc. Turns out they didnt fit the fuel pump back on properly and its now loose on all 3 bolts! I can see it shaking away and car sounds rough as hell.

What damage can this cause?

Hopefully none if you nip the bolts up asap.  It's probably running rough because the pump piston isn't getting it's full stroke maybe.

Thanks for the reply.

Turns out one of the threads has broken and caused the other 2 to slip loose.

Temp fix applied, just need to find a replacement chain cover.
