I am new to vw's just bought a gti mk5 dsg i only bought it as it had the textile buckets and DSG service stamps its on 84k now i had the DSG serviced at 80k as advised to make sure service history was kept up todate with main dealer DSG stamps 3 stamps 20k 32k 52k 80k<-----(me)
Is there any typical issues with the AXX DSG engine and gearbox's?
I was a Vaux man before and last was a vectra estate literly no joke at all the last cupple months of owning it i was in my local workshop every week for iver the same thing or new stuff poping up for no reason so really dont want to go back to them days at all, LOADS and LOADS of people say golfs are bullet prooth il never go back to how it used to be so are they rite? Have i picked the rite car?
Im not sure if its how im driving it or anything as NEVER sat or drove a auto before always been manual but when it comes to a stop and in N not every time but somtimes it idels weired ive took it up the workshop he said it might be the PCV valve??? But cant tell as he hasnt seen it do it, it has blew off 3 oil filler caps so got the R8 on there now then that blew off the plastic pipe off the head to make filler cap sit flush with engine cover so now have a pluged hole is that normal?
