New here mk5 golf gti

New here just searching around for a mk5 golf gti looking to tune just deciding weather to go for a ed30 or just a ko3 gti , definitely want a manual ! Hopefully I can find a well looked after example through this forum

If you’re looking to tune, then the ED30 has more potential. From a value perspective, it is usually cheaper to buy a car which has already been modified as you’ll never get your money back. The TFSI for sale page on Facebook usually has plenty of options.

Yeah I do like the ed30s and there not a bad price for a half decent one now , even the normal mk5 gti is still good as you can still extract good power from them I'd still think about getting a non ed30 if it was a good example

Get the edition 30! I bought an 06 GTi a year ago, a cracking example, 74k, 14 stamps all at VW, 1 owner, been loved all its life. I put an APR Stage 1 on and it's great to drive BUT I wish I'd bought an ed30 mostly for the extra power and tuning potential but also because they just have that extra something special about them. I love my car but wish I had an ed30
