Windscreen washers blocked
« on: June 19, 2020, 12:50:40 am »
Have no idea why but both blocked temporarily yesterday and eventually the passenger side is working now but drivers side hardly working at all.
Been using momentum stuff for fan spray from Tps and reservoir was still 2/3 full.
So how do I sort it out? Looks like I have to unclip the bonet sound deadening to get to anything.....
Cheers for any advice, I looked on the guides and couldn't see anything.

normal screen wash that we use in our other car and not the fan spray stuff

Are there different types of screen wash??
I've never noticed, I just use the Halfords green concentrated stuff - looks like Predator blood

Well went to try the windscreen wipers and they were completely dead, nowt. Rear was working fine.
Did a carista scan and nothing showed up. Tried swapping the fuse and that's all ok.
Topped up the reservoir with warm water and eventually the passenger side worked, right side still the issue.
I'll try an airline on it next.

Halfords is good stuff £5 for the concentrated citrus.

@Lewo
its not common, but sometimes mixing screenwash creates a chemical reaction, there may be other gloopy stuff sitting in the tank.  If it happens again you may need to do a proper rinse out of the tank

Yes - that's the stuff I use - that is the trade card price.

I've used a Steradent tablet before which worked.

Sorted, managed to unclip the jet and put a blast from the airline through.
