No engine check light golf mk5 won’t start
« on: September 13, 2020, 06:01:26 am »
So golf 2007 FSI 1.6 petrol no engine check light shows in dash and it won’t start. The car was perfectly running until the boot lid stopped working and didn’t close. I have been driving car with message in dash showing open boot and the I noticed rear wiper also stopped working. I disconnected positive terminal of battery (mistake) for 3-4 minutes and put it back on. Went back in to start car and now it doesn’t start. No check engine light comes on with ignition on. Snap on doesn’t read any codes due to no signal or communication with ecu. Mechanic told all fuses relays are fine but no luck. Can some one help please here and tell what could be the problem. How to I get back engine light and start the car

Anyone had same issue. I disconnected positive terminal of battery before that car was running perfectly fine.

Is the battery fully charged?
