I wasnt bothered about speccing Cruise as i knew how easy aftermarket was then i found 2010 + cars cant be upgraded at the moment  :ashamed:

Shaun I was all set to fit cruise to DaveB's Roc but once I had taken it all apart I was gobsmacked that VW had changed it totally??? The slip ring now contains all the steering wheel controller  and the stalks are all one item.

There is no retro kit at the moment BUT I would say has you have DSG you may be lucky and have the right controller and all you will need is the right set of stalks,  If you have VCDS and can get the steering controller part number for me I can get you the right stalk part number...

Cheers

Darren :happy2:

Yeah I had read up on it this morning, doesn't look too difficult.  Seems there are two manufacturers of the controller and the fixings differ.

the job is easy its just the parts are very expensive, the controller is something like£270 then the stalks are another £150 but it possible the with Shaun having DSG on the roc R he might have the right controller to start with? Ill be having a look later today.

5K0 953 569 A has been superseded by 5K0 953 569 G which doesn't list the 8T0 PR code for CC.

5K0 953 569 H is PR code 8T0

Wow, certainly not cheap !, especially if it doesn't work, VW did talk about bringing out a work around, I might wait to see if they do, although I'm not sure what they could do to make it cheaper other than bring out a stalk that works with the old controller !
