Is a mk5 petrol 1.6 2008 obd compliant? If it is (or not) what's the best diag to get, thanks

You need something that supports CAN (control area network) for diagnostics.

Depends what you mean by best, best is laptop based VCDS. it's £225.

Others include OBD Eleven, Carly & Carista. (Phone based)
