Well everything has come full circle. Probably been a good 5-6 years since I logged into the forum.
I've known Rich for many years , incase you weren't aware he was one of the first people from the owners pages I had met when I was driving around in my Mk5 1.9 TDI....despite his ridiculous chin and awful sense of humour, we have kept in touch over the years.
I bought Rich's ED30 from him and indeed - it is in a very sorry state, but clearly has a lot of care lavished over it in his ownership. So I'm taking on the baton and restoring the car back to it's former glory and it will become my new daily, which will sit alongside my fully forged Megane 250 Track Car and Golf MK7 1.6 Bluemotion (which will be sold eventually).
I wonder if there are still marks on the side skirts from when we were doing the cam-chain
