Car looks so much better with the TDs, love the steering wheel upgrade! Who supplied & fitted the R32 clocks?

 :happy2:

Thanks mate  :drinking:

Omeydz on here fitted both the steering wheel and R32 highline clocks

Knows his stuff and a top bloke if you can persuade him out of the retrofitting retirement home  :signLOL:

Ok so I headed up to AKS to get one of his brembo big brake kits fitted today

Whilst up in the air I set about tidying up my rusty rear bells on my rear discs while Alex disassembled my front brakes

With the wheels off I was faced with this

Which after some elbow grease with some steel wool ended up looking like this

Then applied a single coat of hammerite smooth black and this is how it looked

And with the wheel back on it looks a lot better

During this time Alex had stripped down the front brakes leaving a nice big hole

This set of brakes ended up being a bit different from the other sets Alex has sold with the red brembo calipers

Some very tasty brembo 4 pots from an Aston Martin DB9

Alex then set about building up the brakes

Everything tightened up and a wheel test fitted to check for clearance issues

No problems so the rest of the waiting wheels were refitted

And finally a few close ups when the car was on the ground just back from a test drive by Alex

To say I'm impressed is an understatement  :driver: fresh out the box and obviously not bedded in yet the power is ridiculous  :driver:

Can't wait for them to get even more bite when they've settled in but so far I'm a very happy customer and ended up with something a little bit more unique then I bargain for

Thanks
Dave

Doesn't need the master cylinder upgrading, though I'm sure somebody may say it would benefit but it works amazingly well just bolted on  :scared:

Pedal feel is firmer but no more travel but had a brake fluid change too so that would also help the feel a lot I'm guessing

Was up at AKS getting a few bits sorted today

Had these fitted

Along with new TT top mounts, fuel filter, pollen filter, v9 maps, and a fast road alignment setup at the TTshop

A pic of the old girl up in the air  :ashamed:

Got hold of some VW centre caps to finish off the wheels
