Injector cleaner yes or no

Injector cleaner.
Noticed a thread on a Facebook group where someone asked about a misfire and injectors and cleaners were mentioned.
One of the well known specialists said that using the cleaners damages the injector baskets over time...
not heard that before, has anyone?
Not dissing their experience but I've got 9 cans of Liqui Moly left

I use the Liqui Moly Petrol Injection Injector every 6 months in mine and not had issues.

The main thing that sorted my misfires, was to carbon clean in the inlet side of the manifold.

Liqui moly stuff definitely works. However too well for me, my mpg went up after using but developed a misfire, all troubleshooting points to a bad injector,, the fact it happened after using this stuff leads me to believe its pushed some crap into the injector. Now I need to get them out and professionally cleaned and possibly replacement of 1 of them.
 Can't fault the product as it does what it says on the tin but I think il be avoiding from now on, lots of people are happy with the result however my case is quite rare and unlucky I think but worth noting.

And putting injectors in a roastingly hot and high pressure environment doesn't?    What a crock of sh1t. Nothing against you, but honestly, the Fecesbook group is full of utter nonsense

Same thing happened to mine. Has a small missfire of cylinder 4, ran some injector cleaner down it and made it worse. Ended up replacing the Injector

If injectors are f'cked, or close to it, a bottle of cleaner isn't going to tip them over the edge, so I'm calling BS/coincidence on that.  If crud is getting inside the injectors, you have other issues.

Still on original injectors. Never been cleaned, 147,000miles. Maybe I got lucky.

Did they say how long they ran cleaner through a set of injectors, and at what concentration? What brand of cleaner? You know....just for corroborating evidence 

What else could be a contributing factor here, I wonder.

300ml of cleaner diluted into 55000ml of fuel is a whopping 0.55% cleaner to fuel ratio.

V Power has 5% concentration of Ethanol in it.  Could be cheap corn based stuff of varying strength, it could be consistent high end stuff, who knows.  Ditto Momentum.

95 unleaded has 10% concentration. 

What is an injector basket?  It's a metal filter with either a rubber, plastic or metal locating sleeve.

Which fluid is well known to damage rubber over time?  Ethanol.

Which two things are well known to degrade plastic over time? Fossil based fluids and heat cycling.

I don't know what brand of cleaner specifically they're referring to, but anyone in doubt could just drop Liqui-moly an email and ask them about it.  Pretty sure a company of their size and reputation will have done their due diligence on chemical analysis.
