17x8 ET20 on MKV Golf? Is it possible?
« on: January 12, 2011, 05:02:08 pm »
Chaps,

I've got a spare set of splits rims kicking around that I was hoping to fit onto my 2004 Mk5 TDI, trouble is they are 17x8 ET20 and I'm worried that they will have stupendous poke!?

They still have monster tyres on them at the mo, so haven't tried them yet, just wondered if anyone on here has any experience with that size/spec wheels on a MK5?

Cheers

Callum

On an 8" rim, I personally wouldn't go more than an et40. Mine are ET42 are they are just about flush.
