Just had a guy phone me up.

Him: Hello sir, Im calling from  £$%^& financial Ltd (cant remember who it was exactly, but never heard of them lol)we have your details on our system.  

Me: hello, what can i do for you.

him: can i ask some security questions before we carry on.

me: Hold on a sec, you haven't told me what you want yet, so im not going to give you any of my details

him:  I cant tell you until you answer the security questions

me:  So you want me to give you all my details without knowing who or what you are or why your calling.  Are you on drugs.

him: Yes sir

me: How about **** OFF. you must think I've been popping Rohypnol if im just going to pass all my details over without you explaining anything about yourselves.  thanks for your time, im going to bar your number from our phone.  Have a good day.

Thats a shortened down slightly plolite version of what went on  :grin: seriously, who would just give their details out on a whim like that.  Phone calls like that p!ss me right off.

Well it seems people do give out their details otherwise these scrote bags wouldn't be doing what they are doing!!  :fighting2:

I must get 2-3 scam emails a day about cars I have for sale and Nigerian Princess's wanting me to share their $4 million Uganadan Dollar fortunes!!  :fighting:

probably didnt help that im mega busy and stressed out at work and he interrupted me :grin:  perfect person to evnt off some frustration at :fighting:

I must get 10 'uganden' emails a day, how are they even alowed to use email, surley these knob heads can be caught easily enough with ip's etc etc....  :confused:

loads of scammers around at the moment and not just the dodgy nigerian crew - be wary of anyone trying to sell you land or wine investments - they are all crooks

I had one recently ask to pay for a 9k car with paypal and asked for my paypal addy so I told hi it was this...............

I got one yesterday through work. They had managed to convince switchboard they needed to speak to me. Chump on the other end launches into a spiel about some survey, where I get £60 for my time. They want my email address. I said "no thanks" and put the phone down on him. This was an "agency" after me to spam me with details of locum work.
