« on: February 12, 2011, 08:38:31 pm »
Been searching but haven't found a difinative answer,

Upgrading my original HU for an RCD510, will it require vagcom coding of any sort or just plug and play? I have not got cd changer or iPod input. Already got the latest CANBUS gateway bit (cheers Carl).

Do have MFSW but with midline....

Thanks for any info anyone can give!!

There is every chance it'll need some coding yes, it depends on the configuration of the previous car - assuming it's used.

As Stu says it will likely need coding. It will work straight away but some of the functionality might not be there if it was used on a car that say for example had highline.

Give me a shout when you have it. :happy2:

Cheers carl!

Is it worth me asking the previous owner if they have highline or MFSW?
