How easy is it to fit steering wheel buttons

Hi im looking at another MK5 but it does not have the steering wheel buttons for the radio etc, how easy or hard is it to retrofit theses ?

If your car is DSG and has the paddles on the steering wheel, easy

If it’s manual then it can be quite involved, changing steering wheel, steering wheel controller etc. If you use the search function it has been asked quite a few times.

Its a manual im afraid, if its a big job then i might change the blanks to silver bits
