Yes mate, I was right next to the mechanic when he was doing it today.

Im going back Tuesday night once done some miles to see how much oil is left. Bit baffling atm to be honest.

Just gave it some down the bypass by me as well and no white smoke, so cant be burning a lot of oil out the exhaust

Getting me worried. My 06 gti burns about 1l of oil every 1k miles if I'm lucky. I read this to be fairly normal. Getting the dv and pcv done so not sure if that will improve any possible leaks?

It's normal to burn this much oil in these newish cars. my  mk1 tt used about the same ever 1k miles so it's definitely normal.  :smiley: expensive but normal lol I buy a 20L drum from eurocarparts to save money.  :driver:
